I want to bring storytelling and social awareness back to cinema and the media by making sure we are visible, we have a voice, we have a seat at the table, and that we highlight the social injustices committed to us — but these points are not my only goals. I would also like to help Native youth realize the beauty of our cultures and languages, and to encourage them to be proud of our ancestry.
Working towards building this strong foundation in our youth across Indian Country, we will have the support necessary to change negative stereotypes of our people in the media and reclaim Native American history.
